"Drag him to a hole until he wakes up, naked, clawing at the ceiling of his grave..."

What? Seven o'clock and I didn't get anything posted to the blog? But it's good, actually: I wrote a 1,600 word short story in between my bouts of procrastination and comic-book reading, and it might not be something I hate.

Congratulate me? (I kid. Please don't.)

Anyway, here's The Decemberists, with "The Mariner's Revenge Song," an awesome eight-minute epic, performed live by the band in somebody's living room and worth every minute of it. Hope you enjoy! And hope you had a good weekend, too. Me, I'm not looking forward to going back to work after a long vacation, but, like the lampshade pterodactyl used to say on The Flintstones, it's a living. (I think it was the lampshade pterodactyl, and not the woolly mammoth vacuum cleaner; say, isn't it odd how The Flintstones mixes dinosaurs with advanced mammals--I mean, is that totally historically inaccurate, or what?)

Where was I?

Oh yes, The Decemberists:

I swear, I've been spending the last month chomping at the bit for their new album to be released.

Chomp, chomp, chomp.
