So, in all seriousness: the Shankill Butchers aren't merely some hallucinogenic fairy tale told to keep the tykes in line. Rather, they were, evidently, a real organization of Irish terrorist serial killers active since the 1970s. Horrific either way, but the notion that there's a reality to the whole thing is pretty terrible, no?
