Here's the trailer for movie Andy Griffith starred in before his Mayberry days, A Face in the Crowd. His character was pretty much the opposite of Sheriff Andy. He would have been an awesome movie actor.

Met him at some point or another, but I would have been just another junior face in the crowd. Seemed like a nice guy.
