Pink Floyd, "Comfortably Numb"

>> Wednesday, October 10, 2012

I don't have anything for you.  Have some Floyd to hold you over.  The footage is from one of the Earls Court shows in London from the 1980-81 Wall tour, though the audio is mismatched (it comes from the Is There Anybody Out There? live release, which apparently meshes two performances of the song); the poster of the video explains that the audio quality of his source DVD wasn't very good, which I certainly believe (the band filmed several Wall concerts with the intention of releasing a concert film, but there were myriad technical problems and the idea was scrapped; the 2000 release of Is There Anybody Out There? was a little surprising to many fans, I imagine, because, in spite of a number of decent-enough bootlegs from the tour, it was conventional wisdom that none of the official soundboard recordings were actually good enough to reach daylight).
